Physical Standard Test (PST)

For Male Candidates

  • Height: 5’6” (minimum)
  • Chest: 32” (unexpanded), 33½” (expanded)

🔹 Height relaxation of 2 inches is applicable for candidates belonging to Gorkha and Bot Tribe communities, as per rules.

The Physical Endurance Test (PET) is a qualifying stage of the JKSSB Constable (Executive) selection process. Candidates who clear the Physical Standard Test (PST) will be required to appear in the PET. Performance in PET is meant to assess the basic physical fitness required for police duties.

  • Long Race: 1600 meters to be completed in 6½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Push-ups: 20 repetitions
    (One complete cycle of up and down will be counted as one push-up)
  • Long Race: 1000 meters to be completed in 6½ minutes (Six minutes thirty seconds)
  • Shot Put: 14½ feet using a 4 kg shot, allowed in three attempts
